Preaching the Gospel
Jesus said in Mark 16:15 to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." In verse 17 he goes on to list all the signs that will follow those that believe. (cast out demons, speak with new tongues, etc.) The salvation of people must always be our primary objective over seeing signs & wonders because the signs & wonders follow the preaching of the gospel.

for zeal for your house consumes me, and the insults of those who insult you fall on me. When I weep and fast,I must endure scorn; when I put on sackcloth, people make sport of me. Those who sit at the gate mock me, and I am the song of the drunkards. But I pray to you, O LORD,in the time of your favor;
in your great love, O God, answer me with your sure salvation. Pslam 69:9-13
For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. Boldly and without hindrance he preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ
acts 28:30-31
just before he is on an island, first being thought a god then healing all their sick...after crashing on the island safely on the word from an angel of the Lord! If people think that preaching the gospel is not exciteing then they should ask God to use them and see what happens! Yes, there are times when Paul is in a "stationary" location, he is not going out preaching the gospel, the people know of him and come to him asking him questions concerning the kingdom, may we live a lifestyle worthy of His name at 'home bases' and abroad
